Fluval Internal Filters combine advanced filter technology with a previously unavailable versatility. Each Fluval Internal provides adequate permanent filtration for properly sized aquarium. All provide excellent support for already existing systems that haven't proved adequate for the biological load. Finally they provide an extremely economical solution to power assisted spot cleaning in single or multiple aquarium situations.

All Fluval Internal Filters are fully submersible. They are ideally suited for standard or specialty shaped aquariums as no tubes or hoses aside from the power cord leave the aquarium. The filter can be attached anywhere in the aquarium, either with the handy rim clamp or positioned anywhere inside the aquarium by the suction cup bracket. Both are included, so the choice is yours!

Fluval Internal Filters provide silent operation in small aquariums, eliminating the mess and noise of air pumps and inside box filter. In their stead, the Fluval Internal Power Filter line provides compact, powerful water flows through more filtration media than most box filters can boast. Water flow through the entire filter media surface is also more even, the total surface area is exposed to passing solids and liquefied wastes. The Duo-Density polyester filter pad features an increasingly tight weave as solids penetrate that effectively traps wastes and refuses to let them back flush when flow is stopped. After the Duo-Density pad, a powdered carbon impregnated layer actively adsorbs liquefied wastes, dyes and medications. In the larger models, the plastic filter core offers the added ability to use granulated carbon or other loose filter media. The use of carbon extends liquid waste removal duration.

Fluval Internal Filters are easy to install, and require no modification of existing filter systems. They add strong mechanical removal of solid and liquefied wastes, making Undergravel Filters more efficient by reducing solid clogs. When an outside power or canister filter is the primary unit, Fluval Internal Filters provide added currents, ensuring solid wastes stay suspended longer for efficient capture. They effortlessly add the extra filtration power often required to accommodate extra organic loads in fully inhabited or overloaded aquariums. The total submergibility of the Fluval Internal line adds an extra dimension of strong flow rates wherever required, for surface agitation or substrate current production.
